I'm thinking of a spotted animal. it is a great hunter and is known for it's strength. I'ts natrual habitat is Africa or int the open wild. You don't find it America unless your at the crowded zoo. hint- it is not a spotted cheetah.
EagleRiverup North - Alivia Marks - 4/7/11 Going up north in Eagle River is one of my favorite things to do in the summer! The first thing we do is pack all of our stuff a couple days before and then on leaving day we leave around 7:30 or 8:00. When we leave we need someone to take care of our dog when were there so we usually ask our neighbor. Then when we first are on the road we stop at the BP Gas Station. We get gas, a little snack, and maybe a drink or two. Then we are on the road for good until we get to Eagle River. When we arrive in Clintonville, half way to my grandparent’s house, we usually stop at A&W to eat some chicken, Coney dogs, and don’t forget A&W root beer. When we are driving down Townline Road in Eagle River, I always seem to forget which house it is, but when we get there we pull in the driveway and hug my Grandma and Grandpa. We also bring in our suitcases and get stuff organized in the house. Then we usually go fishing right away. But when were fishing sometimes I Here my grandmothers meal bell. she rings it every time she has a meal ready or almost ready. So when she rings the supper bell I come running up to the house and come on see the great food and smell the awesome aromas. Then we say Grace and start to eat. When I’m finished eating I fish some more or just play some little games such as charades or poker. Then after that we come and get dessert whatever dessert is that night. When dessert is over it’s usually around 7:30 so I do the same thing fish or play games till dad, Brody, and I get tired. Then when were tired we get our pajamas on and get situated fro bed whether were sleeping in the trailer or not, but I usually sleep in the camper. The camper beds are as bouncy as Jell-O and I love to sleep on them. When we go to sleep I pop in a movie, and try to get tired and go to sleep. We wake up in the morning around 7:30 then go fishing right away. Maybe if that day’s nice we’ll go tubing. So today we do go tubing. We will first get the boat out of the holder and then get our life jackets on. We are always pretty scared because I hate jumping in the lake because i'm afraid of the fish!! So when I finally have the nerve I jump in feel the water. The water is as fresh as a shower that smells like fish!! I get in the boat and then start driving and then we might look for eagles and just take it slow then when we have our tubes all hooked on we go tubing. It is sooo fun I love the cool breeze in my face! But the hard thing is getting out because I hate swimming in the deep water so I try to go as fast as I can then get out but sometimes I have marks on my legs because how tight I was in the tube. When Brody’s finished we go back to the house, have lunch, and go fishing all fun stuff. But one thing that Brody loves is shooting chipmunks. He gets out his be be gun and just looks for holes of chipmunks and hunts them down and shoots them! “Hey Alivia, can you help me track so I can shoot these little rascals?” wonders Brody. Then I mumble “sure, why not.” “Ok well then better get tracking!” he said.
So I track for him like I look for prints or holes. Then we go in have supper and continue the cycle again. The next day suppose we wake up and hear the breakfast bell so we rush to the kitchen and eat yummy pancakes. Then maybe after that we go horse back riding. We have someone pick a horse for us then start on the trail. It’s a 30 minute trail so it’s pretty fun. When were finished we look at the goats and get pictures with our horses. Then we say good bye and go home again. By that time we might go swimming so we jump in and play sand throw. Sand throw is where you go in the shallow end of lake and get some sand. Then you throw at the person you want. If you throw it at a person above the shoulders you’re out. Gool is the peer. Or sometimes one thing that we do up north is go canoeing it is really something that relies on teamwork. So you really have to work with your partner. So when you are paddling the person in front has to look and still paddle but the person in back will get kind of wet and will have to steer. So if the front person wants to go left the back person will start to go that way by steering on the opposite side. When you want to go backwards you paddle from the back having your paddle go forward to make the boat go the opposite way. Another thing we do up north is go drift wooding. When we go drift wooding we take the canoe out and go along the shore and look for the rarest pieces of drift wood. When we find the ones that are really cool and that we like the shapes of them we’ll bring them back to the peer and show the ones we love, pick our favorites, and put them on the peer to dry. That night I might go in after that and have dinner it’s always something really good. But just before we eat I sometimes go in the backyard and pick some blueberries and wash them. Then we have fresh blueberries at dinner and in the morning. So when we finish eating we have some dessert and maybe go night fishing!!! Night fishing is really fun! You put a glow thing on your bobber and you fish like that. Usually at night you can catch walleye which are really fun to catch. When its night fishing my grandma always says, “Remember when the red light goes on you can always catch a fish.” So every time I use that advice but honestly I don’t think I’ve ever caught a walleye... Then we sometimes roast marshmallows out on the grass by the boat house. But when we go back to the house my grandpa will get out the corn and we’ll put out some in the deer feeder. Then the next morning when the ducks come they can have some too. At night the camper’s real close to the feeder so we will watch and see if any deer come or anything. When we woke up in the morning I knew it would be a fun day. We put our swim suits on and went in the water. So when we have them on we throw corn in the water and watch the ducks eat the corn. Then me and Brody would go swimming or tubing that day. Then on that night it’s one of the last nights so we will bring in the fish and gut them and get fillets out. Then with the rest of the fish parts we throw them on the grass and let the foxes and eagles eat them. Then my grandma will fry them up and we will eat them and they are always soooo good. I love my grandma’s fish!! Those fish are as good as chicken! When we went to bed that night we went out to the camper and went to sleep. We woke up in the morning and it seemed really nice. Normal, but especially just really nice that day. It felt as if I were on a beach. The wind was blowing in my face and I went to the dock. I jumped in the lake in the shallow end so my clothes wouldn’t get wet. But I felt the warm water and wiggled my toes in the soft sand. I was starting to say good bye to this lake. We went to town and got some fudge and some t-shirts for souvenirs. When were down town it is really cool. It has a lot of Indian things there and lots of people and it always smells great. But when we got back to the house I ran to my grandparents and gave them a hug because I knew it was time to leave. L When we were about to leave I gave hugs to my grandparents. Then I got in the truck and roll down my window and wave good bye and yell to my grandparents, “Good bye love you!” They yell back, “Bye! Be safe on the way home!” Then I roll up the window and say to my dad, “That was fun.” Going up north in Eagle River I always get closer to my family and the nature and the lake it is really a great time!
